Statement on Medicine Dharma Reiki We have in the past been engaged in the study and research of the above system, which was said to be based on the written teachings of Dr. Usui. This was part of an interest and desire to find the truth about Reiki's origins.
It is with great sadness that we have come to the point where we have to disassociate with this system.
In recent months it has become clear, after much research that all of the "Reiki" teachings from so-called diaries, notes and Tantra (of The Lightning Flash), held in a box in Asia/Taiwan have been fabricated or channelled by Richard Blackwell.
Thus the teachings of the above system and the book "Medicine Dharma Reiki" along with many references in other books, are based on Richard Blackwell's own personal view. There is no relationship, other than by name, to traditional Reiki.
May we point out that the traditional Reiki, (Reiki Jin Kei Do), which we do follow, teach and practice, is untouched by this newly created system.
